LEAs addressing significant disproportionality will complete all activities with the guidance of a Technical Assistance provider and close CDE supervision. The Technical Assistance (TA) provider for Intensive Level LEAs addressing significant disproportionality is the State Performance Plan Technical Assistance Project (SPP-TAP). While significant disproportionality is identified through Special Education data, the improvement processes are primarily situated within General Education. This Activity Handout, and the related links, will provide LEA Leadership with a general overview of the Compliance and Improvement Monitoring (CIM) process and requirements, including the key role of the superintendent and other general education leaders in addressing significant disproportionality.
